Thailand
- From lounging on the island of Koh Rong to exploring the ancient temples at Angkor Wat pretending to be Angelina Jolie in 'Tomb Raiders', this small country has a lot to offer in terms of beauty, authenticity, and some of the most friendliest people in the world despite it's devastating history.
- Welcome to China
- My journey has begun as an ESL teacher in Kunming, Yunnan Province
- I took 'A Moment from my Day' to document life in this busy city of Kunming
- The differences between living in a city of 7 million and a village of 700
- Life as a foreigner living in China
- A day in the life of an expat in China
- The Green Lake, Kunming
- Ride the wave where it takes you
- Saying goodbye to Kunming &; beginning my travels
- Guilin, Yangshou
- Dragonback Rice Terraces
- It's simultaneously China, and not China . The moment you cross over the border into HK, you can feel the differences. Laws are actually enforced and followed. It's still crowded and noisy, but in a civilized and orderly way. No shitting nor hawking in the streets. This international city is worth a visit to see it's one-of-a-kind skyline and eat yummy Dim Sum.
- Women in colorful saris, cows roaming the streets, tasty food, the Taj Mahal, monkeys jumping from roof top to roof top, hiking through the Himalayan Mts, meditating with the babas along the Ganges River, etc. India is by far the most fascinating country that I have ever been to. It's a land full of extremes; inspiring and frustrating, clear and confusing, holy and unreliable, calm and disorderly, chaotic and peaceful, mysterious and familiar. All you can do is 'go with the flow' and embrace India's unpredictability. And when you least expect it you are placed in moments full of power to alter the way you view the world and your place in it
- Tamil Nadu - Coimbatore South India is a while different country
- Ooty and Mudumalai
- From climbing to the tops of active volcanoes, to diving to the depths of the seas the options of adventures are endless in this country full of biodiversity and natural beauty. Allow yourself some time to explore a few islands out of this archipelago of over 16,000 islands.
Myanmar
- Some compare it to Thailand in the sixties. I was born in the 80's and I have never been to Thailand, but I do like this analogy. Myanmar is full of charm and authenticity, and is not quite changed by modern development and tourism. Despite all the hardship this country has seen, the people are happy, kind, and considerate. They are also very passionate and inquisitive, and want to be a part of our world as much as we want to be a part of theirs.
Taiwan
- This small island off the coast of China has so much to offer. From the green, lush mountains to the coastal towering cliffs, there is so much beauty in such a tiny place. The people are friendly, the food is yummy, and the reasons for calling this place my home are endless.
Thailand
- One day was all I had to explore this chaotic city of Bangkok. It was spent avoiding getting ripped off by the tuk tuk drivings, eating as much Pad Thai as possible without getting sick, staring in amazing at the amount of lady boys, fighting the crowds of Chinese tourists at the Royal Palace, and visiting the largest reclining Buddha in the world.
